Tigers Marsch(GBX15) 101. Schwere SS-Panzerabteilung Kompanie Michael Wittmann, a veteran of four years of almost constant combat, watches as the British column roars by his well-hidden tanks. With so much at stake, and his orders clearly defining his role, he decides to act immediately. A simple plan of action emerges.

His once mighty company of 14 Tiger I E heavy tanks is now reduced to a mere five as the rest straggle in from the long march. Yet Wittmann knows, even in such small numbers, a Tiger in the hands of his elite crews is more than a match for anyone. He orders four of his five tanks to take Point 213.

He will take the fifth tank alone on the most dangerous part of the job, preventing British reinforcements from getting to the hill until his men get the job done. With the enemy tanks on the hill destroyed, together they can move to clear the town as well. The four mighty Tiger tanks run along a small dirt track parallel to the main paved road the British travel on.

They must take the hill and secure it against all enemy attacks. Each tank crew knows its duty to the Fatherland, each ready to sacrifice all if they must. In Flames Of War Even it the later phase of the war the Tiger remains a formidable weapon with thick armoured and a gun that can deal with any enemy put before it. In Flames Of War you can field Tigers as support for most German companies in platoons of up to four tanks, and even as part of a Radio-control Tank Platoon (p. 45, Festung Europa).

Now it can also be fielded in a company of its own using this box and the intelligence briefing it contains (also found on pages 6 to 16 of Villers-Bocage). The Tiger Ie is Fully-tracked and has Wide tracks. It is, however, a Slow tank (Cross-country speed is reduced to 8”/20cm). It is a hard nut to crack with armour of Front 9, Side 8 and Top 2. It is armed with Co-ax and Hull MGs and has Protected ammo.

Its main gun is the formidable 8.8cm KwK36 gun with an excellent range of 40”/100cm, ROF 2, AT 13 and FP 3+. The big gun and heavy armoured turret give it a Slow traverse.
